Landlords
It is your duty to provide your tenant with an annual Landlord's Gas Safety
Certificate which provides a safety inspection on each appliance owned
by you. Any appliances fitted and owned by the tenant are exempt.

This certificate can only be issued by a Corgi registered engineer and
must be done on any gas appliance over 1 year old.

Checks need to have taken place within one year of the start of the tenancy
date, and thereafter every year.

Please note, these safety checks are in addition to and not instead
of regular annual servicing.

Tenants
Safety checks are part of your legal rights, they ensure the appliances
you are using are installed and working correctly.

Kent Domestic are able to issue safety certificates on most domestic
gas appliances and related gas pipework.
